Biography

Estella Ryan was born June 29, 1896, in Guernsey County, she was a daughter of William and Emma Wiley Ryan. In 1910, the Ryans were living in Jackson, Guernsey County.^[1]

Stella married Richard Reber on 26 June 1915 in Guernsey County.^[2] The Reber family was living in Cambridge in 1920^[3] and Knox Township, Guernsey County, in 1940.^[4]

"Mrs. Estella A. Reber, 75, of Newark Route 4, formerly of Guernsey Route 2, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday at her home.

Born June 29, 1896, in Guernsey County, she was a daughter of William and Emma Wiley Ryan. Her husband, Richard A. Reber, died in 1960.

Surviving are four sons, James and Jackie, both of Newark Route 4, Paul of Newark and Richard of Sunnyville, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Melba Thompson of Cambridge Route 2, Mrs. Wanda Blatter of Cambridge, Mrs. Shirley Watson of Guernsey Route 2, Mrs. Betty Sayre of Newark and Mrs. Bonnie Johnson of Newark Route 4; a brother, Edgel Ryan of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Geese and Mrs. Hazel Ray, both of Cambridge and Mrs. Mary Wilson of Canton; 28 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A son and three brothers are deceased.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Albert J. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery."^[5]
