Diana (Sambrooke) Germain was born in Bloomsbury, Middlesex, England.
Diana was born into the Sambrooke/Vanacker Families. Jeremy Sambrooke (Diana's grandfather) was a knight and succeeded to the baronetcy of Nicholas Vanacker and John Vanacker 2nd Bt, his brothers-in-law, under the terms of a patent granted by King William III in 1700. The baronetcy was in Erith, Kent, a small riverside port until the 1850s. The baronecy became extinct on the 4th August 1754 on the death Jeremy Vanacker-Sambrooke [1]

1731 Birth:
Diana was born on the 11 April 1731 the daughter of John Sambrooke and his wife, Elizabeth Forester. She was baptised on 7 May 1731 in St George’s Church, Bloomsbury, Camden, Middlesex, England. The image of the sourced parish record states the date of birth of Diana. Her father John was the member of parliament for Wenlock, Shropshire.[2]
1734 Death of Father:
Her father John Sambrooke died on the 19 May 1734 in Bath, Somerset, England, when Diana was 3 years old.
1748 Marriage of Sister:
Her sister Elizabeth Sambrooke married John Bateman on 2 July 1748. In December 1744, John at the age of 23 succeeded his father as second Viscount Bateman.

1754 Marriage:
Diana married George (Sackville) Germain PC MP son of Lionel Cranfield Sackville, Duke of Dorset and his wife, Elizabeth Colyear on 3 September 1754 in the Parish of St George, Hanover Square, London, Westminster, England. She would have been 21 years old and her husband was 38. At the time of their marriage George was serving as Chief Secretary for Ireland, during his father's second term as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.
[3]The notice in the Scots Magazine of the 5 August 1754 in Edinburgh, Scotland states the parent of Diana as the Lady Viscount Bateman, her elder sister. Her husbands father was the Duke of Dorset. [4]

Diana Sackville was born on 8 July 1756 and baptised on 1 August 1756 in the Parish of St George, Hanover Square, Middlesex;[5]
Elizabeth (Sackville) Herbert was born in 1762, and baptised in the Parish of St James in Westminster, Middlesex on the 26 July 1762;
Caroline was baptised on 18 July 1764 in Westminster, Middlesex, England;[6]
1778 Death:
Diana died on 15 January 1778 at the age of 46. She was buried in St Michael and All Angels Churchyard, Withyham, Wealden District, East Sussex, England on the 21 January 1778
