Biography

William Sampson of Newbury, Massachusetts, was the first husband of Christian Elwell. His date/place of birth and parents are unknown. William and Christian published their intention to marry in Newbury, Massachusetts on July 18, 1702.^[1][2][3] They had two sons, as follows:

• Jonathan, born Sept. 22, 1703. (p. 459) ^[3]
• William, born Dec. [24. CC], 1705. (p. 459)^[3]

William's date and place of death are unknown. His wife remarried on 24 Feb 1713.^[1][2]
