George was born in 1840. He was a Sergeant in Company H, 99th New York Infantry, when he was captured at Batchelder's Creek, North Carolina, on February 2, 1864. He died of diarrhea C. on July 23, 1864, in Andersonville, Prison, Macon County, Georgia. [1]
