Blaney was born in 1665. He was the second son of Thomas Sandford and Alice Blayney.
He was educated firstly by Mr Weld and then entered Trinity College Dublin 27 January 1680/81 aged 15. [1]
Studied at the Middle Temple, London, 1685. Admitted to the Irish Bar in 1690.

He was M.P. for Knocktopher, county Kilkenny.
Married Jane Warcing?, daughter of Michael Warcing.
His youngest daugher Joan married John Silver of Fountaine, County Waterford, Ireland.
He had Chambers in the Middle Temple, London.
He died in Feb 1707. London, England. [3] Buried 20 Feb 1707, St Martin-In-The-Fields, London, Westminster, England. [4]
The will of Blayney Sanford, written 5 Dec 1707, and proved 1 March 1708. [5], makes mention of:
