Sarah was born in 1830. She is the daughter of Thomas Sansom and Ann Beer.

Birth entries for Sarah Anne Sansom - The two FamilySearch Birth entries below are both for Sarah Anne Sansom. The entries on both pages are identical except the entry that occurred on Image 208 of 254 has two more entries on that page than the entry that occurs on Image 211 of 254. Each image has different handwriting. The other difference was that the number of Sarah's entry on Image 208 of 254 was 532 and the number of her entry on Image 211 of 254 was 533.

1841 Census - on the 1841 Census Sarah Anne's sister Maria Beer Sansom is found living in the household of her parent's Thomas and Ann. Maria is aged 3. The other children living with their parents are Isaac aged 15, Anna aged 14 and Charles aged 13. The ten year gap between Maria and her brother Charles seemed a bit large so I looked for other children on this census. I found the rest of the children living in the Axminster Union Workhouse. The other children were Sarah aged 9, David aged 8, Samuel aged 6 and Job aged 5.
