Her death notice was on same page of Wheaton Journal as Amelia Nichols. See attached image

Cathrine and Sam had a daughter, only known as N. E. at this time. She likely died young. In 1900 Cathrine was widowed and was living with her sister-in-law, Rachel Shoe Santee in Purdy. Rachel was sister to Cathrine's husband Sam. Rachel was also a widow, and had been married to Cathrine's brother Reuben. They were "double" sisters-in-law. In 1910 and 1920 Cathrine was living with her niece Mary Santee Hurlburt in Fairview, Newton County. She was buried in Rocky Comfort cemetery and her gravestone shows her name spelled Cathrine Shoe.
