Clarington was born in 1819. He passed away in 1883. Civil War (Union Soldier) Dec 28,1863 - Jun 22, 1865 Company G, 13th West Virginia Infantry. Wounded Aug 1864 at the Battle of Shenandoah in Virginia. Medically discharged by War Dept in W.V. Was admitted to the US National Home for Disabled Soldiers, Dayton, Ohio. December 1880 and died there April 1883.

He married Elizabeth G. Burch 1828 - 1873
