Miller of Richland township County of Cambria and State of Pennsylvania and Lena his wife of the first part, and Jacob Souter of Connamaugh township of Somerset and State of the aforesaid, of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America, unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these present do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of second part, his heirs and assigns, All that hereafter described part of a tract of land situated in the township of Richland, now Adams township, in the County of Cambria and State of Pennsylvania, described as follows, viz. Beginning at a beach, thence by Mary Blackburn, North seventy five degrees East, one hundred and seventy six perches to a beach, thence by Anthony Naugle, North fifteen degrees East ninety seven and two tenths perches to a sugar, thence by the original - North seventy five degrees West one hundred and seventy six perches to a beach, thence by land of Ellis Rodgers South fifteen degrees West ninety seven and two tenth perches to the place of beginning. Containing One hundred and three fourth acres and the usual allowance. It being part of a larger tract of land surveyed in pursuance of a warrant dated June 15th 1796 granted to Jacob Nagle, which was afterwards sold to the Commissioners of Cambria County Moses Cavan then Treasurer of said County by his Deed dated January 13th 1821, and the said Commissioners by a Deed dated the 12th day of October 1832, conveyed the same to Lewis (?) Dunmyer, who by his deed dated April 18th, 1846, conveyed the same to Jacob Gramling, who by his deed dated April 20, 1846, conveyed the same to Jacob Shaffer, and the heirs of the said Jacob Shaffer dec'd conveyed the same by their release to Ulrich Shaffer, show by deed dated May 14th 1854 conveyed the same to John C. Horner, who by his deed dated October 17th 1866 conveyed the same to Sarah Ream, and Sarah Ream by her deed dated 31st day of March 1870 conveyed the same to Christian M. Miller the present grantor, as by reference of said deed will more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular the building improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, in law, equity, or otherwise, howsoever, of, in and to the same and every part thereof to have and to hold the said hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned, and intended so to be, witht the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against them the said parties of first part, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.^[11] 100 acres of land from Jeremiah Paul. 8 DEC 1884. Sauter of Elton; Henry Sauter of Sidman; August Sauter of Ohio; Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffman of Windber; Mrs. M. E. Kring of Salix, and Mrs. Clyde S. Milller, of Bedford Street. There are 32 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at the Elton Lutheran Church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Boucher. Second: I do will that all real estate shall be that of my beloved wife, Thresa Sauder, as long as she shall live, and at her death said real estate shall be sold and the money derived therefrom shall be equally divided among my seven living children, to share and share alike, namely Peter Sauder Johnstown, Pa.
