Biography
Born 1796 Grinsdale
Thomas Sawdon was born in 1796 in Grinsdale near Bridlington and baptised in the town. [1]
Thomas was the son of John Sawdon.
Marriage 1829 Burton Agnes
In 1829 Thomas Sawdon married Maria Carrick at Burton Agnes, a few miles west of Bridlington on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. [2] They may have hoped for more children but it seems they got only one, Jane Sawdon, born at the end of 1829.
Residence 1851 Carnaby
In 1851 and 1861 that family of three is at Carnaby, just south of Burton Agnes itself. [3] [4]
Death 1866 Carnaby
Thomas Sawdon died in 1866 in Carnaby aged 69. [5]
