Biography
Lizzie was born at Peters Hill, South Australia on 6 September 1857 to parents Andreas and Maria (born Nowsch) Schmidt.
She married Carl Sachse on 30 March 1883 at the residence of Christian Maschmedt, Klemzig, South Australia. Anna and Carl lived first at Kadina and in 1886 returned to Robertstown. They later resided at Spring Hut Creek, near Robertstown, South Australia.
The 7 children from the marriage were: Bertha Maria Sachse married Alfred Frank Allen; Carl Friedrich Sachse married Angelia Sophia Neindorf; Friedrich Ernst Michael Sachse married Clara Ann Lipschinski; Emma Ernestina Sachse married Franz Heinrich Vogelsang; Anna Maria Alwina Sachse married Alfred Carl Ruediger; Rudolph Hermann Sachse married 1 Eva Jane Bennett, married 2 Emma Ella Graetz; Maria Martha Sachse married William Ernest Edwards. These children collectively provided 44 grandchildren for Lizzie and Carl.
