Walter was born 1889 in Illinois. He is the son of Carl Matthäus Schrieber
(1845–1918) and Johanna Koehler (1857–1938) who were married on 8 April, 1877, in Washington, Illinois, United States.
Walter passed away in 1957 and is buried in Park Hill Cemetery,
Syracuse, Otoe County, Nebraska, USA.[7]
