Biography
Sarah was born about 1865.
In 1884 of William Scott, farmer of Drumenagh, father William Scott, farmer married Sarah Ann Scott, a minor, of Ballyneal, and her father was John Scott, at Woods Chapel Church. The witnesses were Eliza Scott and ? Lennox.[1]
By the time of the 1911 Census the family have moved to Ballygruby, William 56, and his wife Sarah Ann 46, and their children John 22, Sarah Jane 18, James Alex 16, William George 14, Alfred 12, Mary 6. They had been married 26 years, with all 9 children still alive.[2]
Research
The birth record of Sally Ann Scott looks to be a potential match though Sally/Sarah (Sally often being used for Sarah). Not sure if the family were living in Ballyneill or if it would have just been Sarah"
Looking at her children’s names, her first daughter is Rachel which is her potential mother, she also has a child with the middle name Humphrey Sands which links to Humphrey Scott (abt.1811-1895) and his wife Esther (Sands) Scott (abt.1816-1895). They do have a son John Scott (abt.1862-) mentioned in Humphrey’s Will. However John’s father is George, who isn’t mentioned in the Will.
