Biography

Albert Roland Scurlock was born 14 May 1888 in Dongola, Union, Illinois. He was the son of George Washington Scurlock (1855-1905) and Minerva E Harper (1861-1942). On 1 May 1910, he married Hattie Adeline Adams in Illinois. Hattie was born 2 July 1892 in Rock, Pope, Illinois. She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Adams (1839-1920) and Martha Florence Stephens (1861-1936). Albert worked for Burlington Railroad as a switchman and engine foreman. After retirement, he helped his son George on his farm. Hattie died 7 Feb 1967, Rifle, Garfield, Colorado. Albert died 16 Oct 1969 in Rifle. They are buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle, Garfield, Colorado.
