On 24 Feb 1669 John’s mother Jane John “being aged and weake of boddy and not able to travell” gave her son John full power over the administration. [CRO ref AP/S/1248] His inventory was praysed by Arthur Bolden on 12 September 1652 Imprimus a tenement known by the name of Chinon? 10-00-00, his bedsteed and chatles to itt belonging 00-10-00, 2 iron pots 00-10-00, corne in the sheafe 01-00-00, for his working tools 01-00-00, for ould pewter and brasse 01-00-00, his purse and wearing apparill 04-00-00, for things forgotten 01-00-00, total £19.
