Biography

Walter Lawrence Seary was born in Jacksontown, Ohio on January 25, 1887 to Andrew Hupp and Nettie Seary.[1]

It is not known where Walter spent his childhood. His mother married James Frush in 1897 but Walter was not living with the family in the 1900 census.

By 1910, Walter had moved in with his mother, step-father, and half siblings in Bowling Green Township, Ohio. He was a laborer working odd jobs.[2]

In 1917, Walter had moved to Newark, Ohio and was working for the American Bottle Company.[3]

By 1930, Walter was an inmate of the Lima State Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Bath Township, Ohio.[4] He was still incarcerated in the facility in 1940.[5]

Walter passed away on January 12, 1948 at the Columbus State Hospital in Columbus, Ohio due to cirrhosis of the liver. He was 60 years old. He is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, Ohio.[6]
