Richard was born in 1849. He passed away in 1929.
Richard III lived at 4 North St Yarraberg, Richmond, Melbourne. Later moved to 145 Buckingham St, Richmond, Melbourne, where some of the children, including Frederick were born. He was there 1890 - 1895. Only 6 children survived infancy. Wife died here leaving him a widower with 6 children - Louisa, Nellie, Alice, Ada, Frederick and Alfred. Moved to 13 College St Hawthorn, Melbourne (electoral roll - 1897) then later back to 4 North St. (Electoral Roll -1898-1930). Emigrated to Australia at the age of 8 yrs in ship "Kent" in 1857 (but no record on passenger lists, according to Joan Sedon). He died at 4 North St, Yarraberg, Richmond, Melbourne.
A search of records has failed to locate an entry relating to the marriage of Richard and Ellen.
The church Richard was baptised in is about 3 1/2 miles east of St Mary le Bow, in Cheapside, of Bow bells fame. It is in the Poplar Registration District.
Richard was married in Sandridge, Victoria, now known as Port Melbourne.
