Research Note
The family search reference seems to be conflating different Christian Seidels. It names Christian Seidel, born 10 Sep 1789 Jaschkendorf, Liegnitz, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany [5] as a son of Christian Frederick Seidel, born 23 May 1778 Vogl, Rosenheim, Bayern, Germany [6]. It is very unlikely that the elder Christian was 11 years old at the birth of his son.
Neither date is compatible with the birth-date, 10 Sep 1786, shown in the photograph of the memorial. Graeme Moad gives Christian's birth place as Prittag in Silesia [7].
