Biography

Addilae Sellars was engaged to Joseph Schultz...she became pregnant, and Addie's sister, Lille, paid good $$ to get Joseph Schultz OUT of the Army, (somehow)--and she had them marry! Addilae was in her final trimester, and developed an accute appendicitis. She was rushed to the hospital, but her appendix burst before they could help her, and she died. The baby was also not able to be saved....they were buried together, the baby in the same coffin as Addilae. Joseph Shultz went his own way and was not heard from again. Addilae and the infant were shipped by rail to Wilmington, N.C. along with her brother, John T. Sellars, and father George Melvin Sellars, for burial in Delgado Cemetery.
