Eleanor (Setterington) Easterby was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.

Eleanor was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, on July 24, 1890. She was the daughter of Richard Setterington and Georgina (Unknown). She one of five children. (In the 1911 Census, her mother declares she had five children but two had died). Eleanor was baptized at age six, on October 28, 1896, in Leeds, at St John the Baptist. According to the Parish Register, her parents were Richard and Georgina, residing at 14 Dundas Street, Leeds. Her father's profession listed as "Bricklayer".

Eleanor married Joseph Easterby in 1919. The marriage was registered in the second quarter in Leeds. It appears the couple had two children. In the 1939 Register, Eleanor is enumerated residing in Leeds. There are two redacted entries at address indicating still living children. Eleanor lists her status as "Married", bur her husband had passed away in 1928. Eleanor is mentioned in the administration of her brother in law Arthur's Probate in 1938, and is named as Eleanor Mary Easterby, "Widow".

Eleanor never remarried. She passed away in 1972 at age eighty two. Her death was registered in the third quarter in Leeds.
