Ruth was born on Aug. 4, 1869. ^{[1] [2]}

She married James Marshall on Sept. 23 1891, at C. J. Shackelford's in Cooper County, MO. ^{[2] [3]}

She lived in Kansas City at the time of her death, Oct. 31, 1926, and is buried in Miller's Chapel Cemetery, Pettis County, MO. ^{[2] [1] [4]}
