Biography
Ruby Elizabeth was born on 21 April 1911, the daughter of John Shakespeare and Alice Gibbs and baptised on 14 May 1911 in Nechells, Birmingham, England.[1]
In the 1921 census Ruby (age 10) was the daughter of Jack Shakespear at 11 /17 Gladstone Street, Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. In the register image father John Shakespeare is listed as Jack, the entry line for him is manually crossed out and he is not included in the totals as present.[2]
