Biography

Samuel was born 26 September 1883 and baptised with three of his siblings at Runcorn on 19 August 1889. He was the son of William Shallcross and Mary Brown.^[1][2][3]

He married Cecilia Blanche Tarleton on 2 January 1909 at Holt, Denbighshire, Wales.^[4]

In the 1911 census, Samuel and Cecilia were recorded at 12 Byron Street, Runcorn, Cheshire. With them, was their one-year-old son Leslie. Samuel was working as a bricklayer.^[5][6]

In the 1939 register, Samuel and Cecilia were recorded at 225 Cheshire Road, Runcorn, Cheshire. With them was their 18-year-old son Kenneth and 68-year-old stenographer Alice M Lunt[?] (relationship currently unknown).^[3]
