Elsie Shallcross was born in Staffordshire, England.

Elsie was born in Biddulph in 1897, the daughter of John Shallcross and Sarah Goodwin. Elsie had at least 4 siblings.

As a child, Elsie lived with her parents in Tunstall Rd, Biddulph.

Elsie married George Hackney (1894-1966) in Leek in 1924.

Elsie probably passed away in 1977 in Staffordshire aged about 80.
