Thomas Sharp was born on 7 Oct 1756 . ^[1]

He was the son of Amos Sharp and Deborah Haines.^[1]

Marriage and Children

Thomas married Esther Brooks, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Brooks.^[1]

Thomas and Esther had the following children:

1. Thomas Sharp, m. Rebecca Troth^[1]
2. Ann (Sharp) Prickitt m. Josiah Prickitt^[1]
3. Mary (Sharp) Kay m. Isaac Kay^[1]

Death

Thomas Sharp died in 1798, between the dates of 13 April 1798 (when his will was written) and 22 May 1798 (when the inventory of his estate was completed). ^[2]

It is assumed Thomas Sharp died in Evesham Township, Burlington County, New Jersey for this is where his will was written. ^[2]

1798, April 13, Sharp, Thomas, Sr., of Evesham Twsp, Burlington Co.; will of. Wife, Esther, home plantation, together with pieces of leased meadow no in possession of Thomas Shinn and James Naylor; also privilege of orchards on the old place with toll of cider from press and mill, during her life; also rent of 1/2 of old place until son Thomas is 21; also bond for £50 against Samuel Phillipps, silver watche, bald mare, 2 cows, all hogs and sheep, 2 beds, case of high drawers, coner cupboard, blue chest, 6 winsy and 6 rush bottom chairs; dining, breakfast and blue tables, largest looking glass, demi-jhon bottle, warming pan, bottle case, greater and lesser brass kettles and tea kettle, and ohter furniture; also all grain, meat and lard, 2 cedar meat tubs and firewood; also 2 hackles and side saddle. Daughters, Ann and Mary, residue of personal, together with 2/3 rents from old place until Thomas is 21, Son, Thomas, old plantation now leased to Isaac Prickett; also home plantation, after wife's decease, and residue of real; he paying my daughters £30 apiece, after he is of age. Wife to pay testator's brother, Daniel Sharp £10 yearly, in lieu of testator's share of his brother's maintenance. Executors-wife, Esther, and friend William Sharp, Jr. Witnesses-Isaac Prickett, Amaziah LIppincott and William Sharp, Jr. Proved June 2, 1798.
