His first marriage was to Ann. Only a Vicar General Marriage Licences record exists for that, and only the surnames are included in the record. But they obtained a licence on 19 May 1812.[2] There is only one record of their two surnames.

John and Ann had six children.

In 1841 John and Ann are living East Bond Sreet, All Saints, Leicester. John is a Mealman. They have two children Mary (12) and William (10).[3]

In 1851 John (60) and Ann (64) are living in Sharpe's Yard, Bond Street, Leicester. John is now a labourer.[4] Ann is from Shipley in Derbyshire.

Wife Elizabeth died on 9 November 1858 aged 72.[6]

John Breedon Sharpe married Sarah Choice in Leicester on 29 March 1859.[7]

John wrote his will written 27 March 1861.[8]
