Edith Jane Shaw, daughter of farmer R. A. Shaw and Annie Lougheed, was born on January 8, 1886.[1][2][3]
Edith married John Franklin Kellam on March 27, 1912 in Toronto Gore Township, Peel County, Ontario.[2][3][1][4][5] John was a resident of Vaughan Township, York County, Ontario and the son of farmer Isaac Simon Kellam and Sarah Ann Nichol, while Edith was a resident of Toronto Gore Township.[1][4] Both were Methodist.[1] Their marriage was solemnized by Philip Jones of Mono Road, and witnessed by Mr. & Mrs. Everard Shaw of Tullamore, Ontario.[1]
John became a farmer and they lived on Lot 6, Concession 9, Vaughan Township, in the Woodbridge area.[5]
In 1957, when Edith was 71 years old, her husband, John, died at the age of 80 years.[2][3]
Edith died at the age of 95 years on March 19, 1981 and was buried with her husband in Nashville Cemetery in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada.[2] Their gravestone is located in the Centre section, Row 7, Gravestone/Marker 6, at GPS coordinates: 43.834994, -79.661891.[2]
