John was born about 1876
In the 1880 census, John (age 4) was the single son of August Shear in Post Oak, Johnson, Missouri, United States.[1]
John married Ella M Lake on 17 August 1898.[2]
In the 1900 census, John (age 25) was the married head of household in Liberty, Marion, Missouri.[3]
In the 1910 census, John (age 36), Farmer, was the married head of household in Rocky Run, Hancock, Illinois, United States.[4]
In the 1920 census, John (age 44), Farmer, was the married head of household in Highland, Lewis, Missouri.[5]
In the 1930 census, John (age 55), Farmer, was the married head of household in Mendon, Adams, Illinois, United States.[6]
John died on 25 August 1937 and was buried in Palmyra, Marion County, Missouri, United States.[7]
