Biography
Alfred Day Shepard, born 13 July 1801 in Chester, Mass.; died 31 March 1869 in Watervliet, N.Y. He was the son of Mather Shepard and Harriet Day. He married Harriet Cecelia King 25 December 1826 in Troy, N.Y., born 12 July 1808 in Suffield, Conn.; died 2 January 1895 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was the daughter of Ashbel King and Harriet Cecelia Wilcox.[1]
