John was born on the 7th November 1881 based on the 1939 National Register, and his birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1881 in the Camberwell district, Surrey. His mother's maiden name was Sears.^[1]

John's death (age 86) was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1968 in the Hendon district, Middlesex.^[5]
