Tom Henry George Sillitoe was born in 1890 in Mile End Old Town, London, England to William Sillitoe and Harriet Ann (Stimson) Sillitoe. His birth was registered in Mile End Old Town in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Stimson.^[1]
