Flora was born on 12 March 1863 in Scotland, Indiana to John Shirts and Margaret King.[1]

Flora married Samuel Benham.[1]

Flora died at the age of 51, on 17 April 1914, from pneumonia, in Quincy, Washington. She was buried on 19 April 1914 at Quincy Cemetery in Quincy, Washington.[1]
