Amanda was born 14 August 1872 in Lake Township to David Shoemaker and Hetty Ann Browant.[1] Amanda was living with her mother and siblings in Lake in 1880.[2]
Amanda married David Booth on 22 December 1892 in Stark County.[3] They were living in Greentown in 1900[4] and Lake in 1910[5] and 1930.[6]

"Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Booth, 84, of Brown st, will be Tuesday at 2 P.m. in the Button funeral home here. The Rev. Donald Walton will be in charge. Burial will be in Greentown Cemetery.
Mrs. Booth died Saturday night in Aultman Hospital at Canton after an illness of two years. A life resident of Greentown, she was a member of Methodist Church and Woman's Benefit Assn. Her husband, David Booth, died in 1943.
Surviving are three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild."[7]
