Elizabeth Jane Shone (married name Creenaune) was born around 1 November 1858 in Gambier, South Australia, the daughter of Ann (White) Shone and James Shone.^{[citation needed]}

She married William Lawrence Creenaune in 1883 in Horsham, Victoria.^[1] Their children were:^{[citation needed]}

OBITUARY MRS. ELIZABETH JANE CREENAUNE An old and well known person- ality of the Gilgandra district, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Creenaune passed away at the residence of her daughter Mrs. Lou Smith, of Gular Railway, during the early hours of Friday morning. The late Mrs Creenaune, who was 85 years of age, was born at Mt. Gambier, South Austra- lia, and married at Horsham, her husband, the late Wm. L. Creenaune, predeceasing her in 1925. The late Mr. and Mrs. Creenaune came to the Gilgandra district in 1908, where they ac- quired "Chippendale", and Mrs Creenaune continued to reside there until recent years. Since she had spent most of her time with her daughter at Gular Rail- way. The remains were conveyed to Gilgandra by Mr. A. H. Ross' motor hearse, and a service was held at St. Joseph's Church at 2.30 p. m. on Saturday, by Rev Father Emelhainz, who also con- ducted the service at the grave- side, in the Catholic portion of the Gilgandra cemetery . The funeral was very largely attend- ed, and among the many floral tributes was one from members of the Gilgandra Bowling Club, of which body a son, Mr. W. B. Creenaune is president. Pall bearers were Messrs. F. Paul, H. McKechnie, W. Walden and C. Walden. The late Mrs. Creenaune is survived by the following fam- ily; Mrs. Lou Smith, Gular; Mrs. Jack Roach, Bathurst; Mrs. A. Leary, Bangalow; Mr. W. B. Creenaune, Gilgandra; Mr L. J. Creenaune, "Glenglee," Gilgan- dra; Mr. Walter Creenaune, Parramatta; Mr. George Creen- aune, Baradine; and Mr. Thomas Creenaune, Bathurst. Two sons and one daughter predeceased their mother. There are also 31 grandchildren and four great grandchilden.
