Biography

He was tried in 1840, for burglary, and transported for 15 years.[1] In 1840 a second cousin once removed, William Oxley, wrote home to England: "Shoebridge, I expect, went to Van Dieman land, as no convicts come here"[2]

Possibly died in Launceston in 1858.
