Biography

Abigail was born 3 January 1657 in Boston, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Henry Shrimpton and Elinor Unknown. ^[1][2] Savage gives her birth as 1658. ^[3]

Marriage

Abigail married Zacharia Bourne (-1698) in All Hallows Church, London Wall, London, England on 16 February 1681. ^[4][5][6]

She remarries on 11 April 1698 at All Hallows, London Wall to David Sutton (-aft.1701). ^[7]

Children

From her marriage to David Sutton a daughter, Hannah Sutton (1701-) is recorded as being baptised at St Giles Church, Cripplegate, London on 3 August 1701. ^[8]

Life Story

Abigail is mentioned in her father's will, of 1666. There is provision in his will for her to receive £1000 to be used by overseers until she became of age or married, and then a further gift of my garden and garden house and all the appurtenances (accessories), and £300 to buy a piece of ground and build a house. ^[9]

Abigail is listed in the index of American Wills proved in London. ^[10]
