Biography
Jane E Shy was born 15 August 1826 in Jasper County, Georgia. Her parents are Seaborn Jones Shy and Harriett Belcher.
John Parks Fears and Jane E. Shi were married 28 September 1843 in Jasper County, Georgia. It appears that their marriage license was issued in Morgan County but they were married in Jasper County. [1]
Their first child, James Porter Fears, was born in 1946. They had a second child, Seaborn Fears, who was born in 1849. Possibly, Jane died from childbirth having Seaborn. John Parks Fears is listed on the 1850 census with two young children, James P Fears 3 and Seaborn age 1. [2]
Jane Shy Fears died 10 May 1849 and is buried in the Shy Family Cemetery in Jasper County, Georgia. There is no photo of a tombstone on her FindAGrave Memorial but there is family information and links. [3]
