• 4 September 1931, Hendon & Finchley Times. Death of Mr. H. W. Sibley. Member of well known Childs Hill family passes away. The death took place at the Manor House Hospital, Golders Green on Thursday last week, after an illness lasting about three months, of Mr Harry William Sibley of 141 Granville Road, Childs Hill. Mr Sibley was a member of one of the best known families in Childs Hill, his father and mother, Mr and Mrs William Sibley, having lived there until they passed away within a short time of each other two years ago. Mr Sibley, who was sixty, had lived in Childs Hill all his life. His death, at a comparatively early age, was all the more tragic as it followed, within five weeks, the death of his daughter, Mrs Doris Thompson. The funeral took place at the Hendon Park Cemetery on Monday, when the mourners were the widow, Mr John Sibley (son), Mrs A. Churchill, Mrs B. Manning and Mrs T. Rawlings (daughters), Mr Leonard Sibley (son), Messrs George, Harry, Jack and Arthur Sibley (brothers), and Mrs Williams (sister). Wreaths and floral tributes were sent by the widow and son; Mr and Mrs John Sibley; Mr and Mrs A. Churchill; Mr and Mrs B. Manning; Mr and Mrs T. Rawling; brothers and sister; Mrs P. Sibley and family; Mr A. Thompson and grand-daughter; Aunt Min and family, Aunt Nan and family, Mrs Norman and family; Mr and Mrs Pilsworth and family; Mr and Mrs Kebble and family and Mrs Groom; Mr and Mrs Lambert; Innisfail Laundry; friends of the saloon bar, "Red Lion", friends from the other bars, "Red Lion".
