Robert Sundquist
The painting of flowers attached is one that Aunt Ida made. It is currently in the possession of my brother, Gary Sundquist, who got it from our mother, Marilyn (Fredman) Sundquist. It had previously belonged to her mother, Roberta (Dabney) Fredman, Ida's niece.

My mother, Marilyn Sundquist (granddaughter of Ida's half sister, Blanche), remembers as a child visiting her Aunt Ida in Dallas. During the night, burglars broke into the neighbors' houses on both sides, but not Aunt Ida's house. Marilyn asked Aunt Ida why her house was spared, to which she replied, "I prayed last night and asked the Lord to watch over us."
