Biography

Emma was born in 1887[1] in Howden, Yorkshire, England, where she lived with her parents, John and Annie, on March End in 1891.[2] In 1901 the family lived on Pinfold Street and Emma worked as a domestic servant.[3]

She married John Henry Young in 1909.[4][5] In 1911 the family lived in Willitoft, Yorkshire, where John was a farm labourer.[6]
