Biography

Synneve Sjursdatter was born at Aarethun on 07 Jan 1837 and she was baptized at Lærdal on 19 Mar 1837.^[1] She was living at Sandnæs when she married Jens Andersen at Lærdal on 06 Dec 1861.^[2] They emigrated to the United States, stating their intention to leave Lærdal on 10 Apr 1867.^[3] They settled in Crawford County, Wisconsin where they used the surname Kvigne. They lived in Utica.^[4] She died sometime prior to 1910 when her husband was living with their son Andrew and was listed as a widow.
