Family moved to Romsaland about 1675
Farmer Aukland, Bruk CC (halve garden). Gunnar let i 1687 tinglesa bygselbrevet sitt, datert 16.12.1686. Det var far hans, Sjur Romsaland, som leigde bort gardsbruket til han. Bruket omfatta halvparten av Aukland, og hadde tidligare vore drive og "Paaboed" av Tollak Osmundson, Aukland. (Bygdebok for Tysvær)
