On 31 March 1901 the Skelly family were boarding at Moygashel, Bernagh, Tyrone, Ireland. Terence McGurgan (44) Linen Beetler & Jane McGurgan (46) Warp Winder in Linen Factory both Roman Catholic with Thomas Skelly (33) Linen Beetler and Mary Skelly (32) Linen Weaver and William Skelly (9 months), Francis Skelly (7) & Maggie Skelly (4), all Presbyterian.[1]

Widower Thomas Skelly (36) Beetler from 25 Trafalger St, Belfast, Antrim, married widow Elizabeth Morrison (nee Cooke) 35 washer on 17 September 1905 at St Anne's Church, Belfast, Antrim, Ireland, Fathers John Skelly & John Cooke (both labourers), witnesses Robert Gamble & Sarah Parks.

On 2 April 1911 the Skelly family were living in Stiles, Antrim Rural, Antrim, Ireland.[2] Thomas Skelly (48) Linnen Beetler and Elizabeth Skelly (46) with William Skelly (11), James Skelly (9) & step-son Richard Morrison (18) Linnen Dyer. All Presbyterian.
