Biography

Carrie Alice Smith was born on 13 April 1889 in Marion County, Florida, to Benjamin F Smith and Sarah A Basford.^[1] In 1900, she was living in Salt Springs, Marion County, sharing a home with her parents and siblings.^[2]

Carrie married Peter Paul Fore on 18 June 1906 in Marion County^[3]. The following children have been identified:

• May Belle (Fore) Barker (1910 - 1999)^[5]
• Troy Paul Fore (1913 - 1968)^[5][6]
• Merritt Capron Fore (1916 - 2002)^[6]

Carrie died on 17 Sep 1953 in Sumter County, Florida,^[8] aged 65. She is buried in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford, Florida.^[9]
