Obituary[2] Ida L. Curtis-Durkin, 68, of Mapleroot Village died Thursday [20 January 1983] at Kent County Memorial Hospital after an illness of a year. She was the wife of Frederick F. Durkin. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Maria Ann (Robillard) Smith, she lived in Coventry two years. She previously lived in Paris, Maine, and Providence. She retired in 1965 as an inspector for the Adams Mfg. Co., Johnston. Before that she worked for various jewelry manufacturing companies. Besides her husband she leaves three sons, Henry W. Curtis of Oceanside, Calif.; Everett F. Curtis of North Scituate and David R. Curtis of West Greenwich; two sisters, Yvonne Bernard and Rita Boulter, both of Coventry; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Monday [24 January 1983] at 8 a.m. from the Robert A. Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at SS. John & Paul Church, South Main Street, at 9. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
