Heber Clifford Smith, 47, of Springbank, died in hospital here Thursday afternoon, after a brief illness. Born at Sussex, N.B., he had lived in Alberta for the past 37 years, farming in the Springbank district since 1911. He was overseas in the last war with the 50th Battalion, and was a member of the United Farmers of Alberta. Surviving are his wife, Bertie; a daughter, Mrs. Jack Spinsley, Calgary; a son, Gordon, Springbank; four brothers, Ernest, Rocky Mountain House; Raleigh and Morris, Springbank; Arthur, Hanna; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Flannagan, Grande Prairie.
