Notes by McNabb-412 12:34, 18 February 2023 (UTC): This profile originally gave "2 Dec 1867" as the date of birth, citing "Obituary Rome Daily Sentinel," April 15, 1935. I could not find a full copy of this to see what it says, but the civil birth record is corroborated by a Catholic baptism the same day. Catholic children were almost always baptized the same day or the following day of their birth as it was feared the child's soul would be lost if it passed away unbaptized. It was very common for headstones to show incorrect birth years for Irish emigrants.
