Biography

Oliver was born in 1859, the son of Harry Snook and Susan Mowery.[1] In 1880 he was working as a farm hand for Joseph Gofs in Decatur, Pennsylvania.[2] By 1900 he was married to Christina Wray.[3] They were married about 1892.[4] He passed away in 1924.[1]

Notes

Although the headstone shows dob as 1859,[5] the death certificate shows 1858.[1]

Oliver Perry Snook, son of Harry D. Susan Hannah MOWERY Snook died at his home at McKim Station, Burnham, early Thursday morning. He was aged 66 years, 1 month and 27 days.
The deceased is survived by his wife, whose maiden name was Christiana WRAY; two sons, Arthur of McKim Station, Burnham and Merle F. at home, and one daughter, Mrs. C. Walter (Viola) Corbett of Newtown, Burnham, seven brothers: John Henry Snook of Racine, Wisconsin; Willis L. Snook of Berlin Centre, Ohio; R. Mowery Snook of Newton Falls, Ohio; Lemon Edgar Snook of Yeagertown; Perle N. Snook of McKim Station, Burnham; A. Curtin and Joseph Newton Snook of Belltown, four sisters: Mrs. Thomas (Ada) Johnson of Mt. Union, Pa.; Mrs Elmer (Ollie) Simmons of Racine, Wisconsin; Mrs. George (Lucinda)Clemens of Lake Park; and Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Leeper of Pine Top, Burnham.
Mr. Snook was a member of the International Bible Students' Association.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 1, 1924[6]
