Daughter of Edward V. Snyder and Mary C. Myers.

Never married. No record of children.

Obituary selection

Ms. Snyder was a school teacher having first taught in Fair Oaks one room school No. 5 in Marseilles Township in 1918. She spent 36 years teaching in 11 schools. She taught in Mononcue No. 8 in Crane Township, St. Peter and South Schools in Upper Sandusky. She also taught in Euclid, Delaware, Marion, Denver, Colo., Kamehameha, Hawaii, and Juneau, Alaska.

She had lived in Hawaii for more than 16 years. She was a corporal in the Women's Army Corps during WWII, serving in the United States and France with Eisenhower's European Theater of Operations and was in Normandy during the Normandy invasion.

She attended Harpster School, then graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1914, and attended Ohio Northern and Kent State Normal School.

Ms. Snyder was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky since 1953, a member of the Women of the ELCA, Ohio Retired Teachers Association, and Wyandot County Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed politics, reading, bird watching, quilting, and was an avid sports enthusiast.
