Biography

William was born in 1816. He was married to Mary Erb.

William Souder, "the second son [of John and Catharine Souder], was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, January 22nd, 1816, and was raised in Bucks County. When a young man he moved to Canada and settled in Waterloo County in 1837. He was married to Mary, daughter of Daniel and Barbara (Cressman) Erb. She was born May 6th, 1820, and died April 17th, 1884. They reside in different places in the county but finally they settled near Zion, not far from Preston where he followed farming many years. He was a member of the Evangelical Association of which body he was a local minister. His death took place September 22nd, 1864.
